Tokyo Institute Of Technology: Tokyo Tech Student Wins Japan Open Innovation Prize With AI-Based Algorithm Evaluation Technology

Yuta Saito, a 4th-year Industrial Engineering and Economics student from Tokyo Tech’s Nakata Laboratory, has won the 3rd Japan Open Innovation Prize, Prime Minister’s Award. Saito collected the prestigious award at a ceremony held in central Tokyo on February 25.

The winning project, Open source development and implementation infrastructure for social decision-making algorithms, was a collaboration between Hanjuku Kaso, Inc., a company co-founded by Saito and Yale University assistant professor Yusuke Narita, and ZOZO Inc. Saito, Narita, and two other team members shared the prize.
